Java applet

This assignment tests your ability to use pre-written Java applets.

Use this image viewing applet to display several images of your own choosing. Set the background color to a shade of light green or blue.

You can use this color selector to choose your color.

When you finish put the page with the applet on your SWS Web site, and print its HTML listing and a screen shot showing your pictures.

Step by step instructions

  1. Download viewer.zip from my server (or Buddysoft).
  2. Create a Web page with the <applet> ... </applet> tag like the one in the example.
  3. Create a subdirectory called images.
  4. Place several .gif or .jpg images in the subdirectory.
  5. Test the page to be sure the application works and you can see all the images.
  6. FTP the Web page, viewer.zip and the subdirectory with images to sws.csudh.edu.
