Your IP configuration

Using a computer that is connected to the Internet either at home or work, give the ipconfig command with the /all option:

C:\>ipconfig /all

Turn in a printout of the result.

Turn in answers to the following questions:

  1. Did you do this at home or work?
  2. What is your IP address?
  3. Is your computer behind a NAT firewall?
  4. What is the IP address of the DNS server you are using?
  5. Which network is it on?
  6. What is the IP address of the gateway router you are using?
  7. Which network is it on?
  8. Were these addresses assigned dynamically or by a DHCP server?
  9. How many network adapters are in your computer?
  10. What is the MAC address of the one you are currently connected with?
  11. What is your subnet mask?
  12. How many hosts can be on your subnet?
