Collaboration -- same time, different places

This is a comment from the audience at a panel discussion on attention. The panel topic was attention. They feel that we are often distracted and pay partial attention to many things rather than focusing on one task.

This short excerpt is of an audience member stating that he and a distant colleague focus their attention together for several hours per day even though they work at separate locations (1m 41s). They use several networked applications -- Skype (VOIP), IRC (chat), Wiki (for documentation), VNC (screen sharing) to facilitate their collaboration.
