Add a mashup to your blog

This assignment will give you practice using the API of a Web service in creating a mashup.

Study the notes on "A blog mashup," and answer these questions before proceeding:

  1. What would I have to do to eliminate the "Listen to this article" link from the footer of the posts on our class blog?
  2. What would I have to do to change it so that it said "Hear this article?"
  3. What would I have to do to eliminate the icon at the end of the link?
You do not have to turn these answers in. I asked these questions for your benefit -- you may mess your blog up if you try to do this assignment without understanding what you are doing.

When you are ready to begin the assignment, create an account and RSS feed for your blog at Talkr.com. Modify your blog template to add a link to that feed in the footer area of your blog posts. It should be almost the same as mine, but instead of saying "Listen to this article," it should say "Hear this article," and you should not display the icon at the end of the link

Test your mashup to be sure it works, then print a blog entry showing the link at the bottom.
