Changing presentation tempo

I recorded a narrated slide presentation with a table of contents on the evolution of data types. Then I produced two faster versions of the same presentation, using the Audacity tempo-increase command, one with a 25% tempo increase and another with a 50% increase.

The content is the same, but the listening time and file sizes are different.

original presentation, 8,136 kB, 11 m 7 s
25% tempo increase, 7,073 kB, 8 m 54 s
50% tempo increase, 6,339 kB, 7 m 25 s

If comprehension is as good with the fast versions as slow, we can save bandwidth and student time by increasing tempo.
