Image processing

This assignment will familiarize you with some image processing operations.

The first part of the assignment is to make a 200 by 200 pixel picture of yourself. You can start with an image from a digital camera or scan an image in the open lab in Welch Hall. Do as much as you can to adjust and enhance it, and resize the final version to 200 by 200 pixels.

Second, pick your favorite class photo (there are links to them on the class Web site). Make it look as good as you can, and make sure the final version is no more than 500 pixels wide.

Be sure you resize the pictures using your image processing program. Do not resize them using the height and width attributes of the img tag.

Also transfer a page with your photos to your Web site. Call it imageplay.htm and put it in a subdirectory called assignments. Turn in a screen shot of the page with the pictures and also print the HTML listing of the page.

Your page should be formatted just like my imageplay.htm page -- just substitute your images. (Use the browser's view>source command to see my HTML). As you see, my photo is called oscarito.jpg.
