Using templates

This assignment will illustrate the use of templates, and insure that our Web site has a uniform user interface.

You should use our templates to build a new home page for your class Web site on sws.csudh.edu and for the index to your assignments for our class.

Copy the home page template, and insert your name, e-mail address, and link to a picture of yourself where shown. Save that as your new index.htm file on sws.csudh.edu.

Note that the template assumes your assignments are in a subdirectory called assignments and your project is in a subdirectory called projects.

Your assignments directory should use this template for its index.htm file. To add a new assignment at the end of the table, copy the commented <tr> definition at the end of the template, and enter the assignment number, description and link if there is one.

I have used these templates in my Web site on sws.csudh.edu

When the layout of your pages and your directory structure is the same as mine, print out screen shots of your home page, your assignment page and their HTML listings to turn in.
