Hello Everyone:
I am currently a senior and plan to graduate this fall 2007. Being part of the Accounting Society has opened many opportunities for my future. Before joining the Accounting Society, I didn’t know what accounting consisted of. When I started coming to the meetings I saw all the opportunities that were available for me as an accounting major. As a result, today I feel more confident of what I want to do after graduating. Networking has been the key. By networking, I have established relationships with many professional that could make a big difference in my professional life. It has also helped me get an Internship with Warner Brothers. It was a wonderful experience! I used to have lunch every day with students from USC, UCLA, Stanford and many other schools with good reputations. I know that I got that competitive opportunity through networking. As the Vice President, my goal is to recruit more members and to take them to the path of success. I am a very motivated person and hope to instill how important networking is in all our members. I encourage everyone to joint us in our path to success!

Hello everybody,
I am a senior majoring in Finance and Accounting. Outside of school, I like to go shopping , read novels, listen to music, karaoke, dance, and try different food. As the controller, I proudly present to you the Accounting Society. Though I have only been with the Society for half a year, it has been a very rewarding and motivational experience for me because it widens my horizon and extends my network. The Accounting Society serves as a media through which students could interact, share information, and progress toward their common goals such as passing the CPA exam and finding a good job. It provides us opportunity to not only network from within but also reach out to the professional world.
By attending the meetings, I got to meet professionals and representatives from different corporations and governmental agencies, from whom I learned a lot about the practical aspect of the business world. Participation in the mock interview also helped me overcome my nervousness and gain confidence in interviews. I believe that the Accounting Society is an organization where we can grow and build strong relationships in the process of achieving our goals; therefore, I recommend every motivated student to join us in the path to success!

Hello all,
I am currently a senior and plan to graduate in December of 2007. Some of my hobbies include dancing, playing the piano, running, baking, being a foodie, watching movies, golf, and hanging out with friends. As for goals, my main goal is to attain a CPA license before the end of 2008.
Last semester, I was introduced to the Accounting Society and was so impressed by all the opportunities the organization offered its members that I quickly became one and now I have the pleasure of serving as Secretary for the Fall 2007 semester.
The Accounting Society is a great organization offering the opportunity for all business major students to meet new friends with similar goals and aspirations who will motivate one another. Moreover, it offers its members opportunities to meet corporate professionals, strengthen interviewing skills, gain networking experience and skills, build professional relationships, and much more through events such as Meet the Firms, weekly guest speakers, and Mock Interviews.

As a Senior majoring in Accounting,
I am the acting Director of Membership for the Fall 2007 Accounting Society
term. I joined the Accounting Society during the Spring 2007 semester.
Within the first two meetings, I noticed the positive energy, eager spirits,
and warm personalities of the members and officers; and at that point I knew
that this was the group for me. I am always looking for opportunities
to enhance my strengths, while learning from others. I would strongly
encourage all to join the Accounting Society, because it will better prepare
you for your post-college experience. Since being in the Accounting Society,
I have learned the value of networking your way to Success. "It's not who

Hello Everyone,
My name is Jay-El Chu and I am currently a senior that will be graduating in December 2007. My goals consist of graduating this year and passing my CPA exam within the next two years. Hopefully, public Accounting firms give me the opportunity to work for them but any exposure to accounting will be useful to my career. In the future, my plans consist of going to Business School to get my MBA.
I have been a member of the Accounting Society since 2006. However, I was not an active member because I was working full time. This upcoming school year, I will be able to participate more because I decided to work less to concentrate on school. In addition, I decided to take my membership to the next level by becoming an officer. Therefore, for the Fall 2007, I will serve as the Accounting Society's Director of Publicity.
I am excited to be an officer of the Accounting Society. This group of officers are hard working and motivated. I have a feeling that the upcoming school year will be a success.
