President:
Hello Professionals, Professors, Alumni, and Students,
My name is Yu-Ping Lin, I am a senior majoring in Finance and Accounting, and I will graduate in August 2008. Participation in the Accounting Society has been a very rewarding and motivational experience because it has widened my horizon and extended my network. The coming up Spring semester will be my third semester with the Accounting Society. I started myself as a member and then the Controller; moreover, I am very excited and honored to take on the President position in the following semester. Hereby, I would like to share with you my experience in the Accounting Society. By attending the meetings, I got to meet professionals and representatives from different corporations and governmental agencies, from whom I learned a lot about the practical aspect of the business world. Participation in the mock interview also helped me overcome my nervousness and gain confidence in interviews. As an officer, I enjoyed working with our team and learned a lot from my fellow officers. We have put a lot of effort into making all of these happen, through which I learned a lot about how an organization functions. I believe that my passion and experience prepared me well for this position. Furthermore, I look forward to working with all of you to take our Accounting Society to the next level.
Vice President/Controller
My name is Ryan King and my concentration is Accounting. As I enter my senior year I am very excited about the opportunities that the Accounting Society has to offer. Before coming to Dominguez Hills I attended El Camino College and the transition has been far easier than expected, especially because of the accessible and welcoming atmosphere that I’ve encountered. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect but my nervousness quickly turned to enthusiasm. I was astounded with the information provided to me by professionals and students alike about the various careers and activities available in my field of interest. I am very proud to be part of the Accounting Society. It brings respect to CSUDH and is an invaluable resource for those who want the added assurance of a successful life after school.
Secretary:
Aloha hoa kula,
My name is Juanita Henry and I am currently a Senior at CSUDH, I will be graduating December 2008 with a B.S. in Accounting. This is my second semester as an Accounting Society member. I found the society to be so helpful that I decided to apply for the secretary position. Before attending my first meeting of the Accounting Society I had no idea what the “Big Four” stood for, I though it was Football Teams. Since joining the society I have gained valuable knowledge throught the lectures, meetings and networking opportunities, which are available to all members. I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in a career in accounting/auditing/business to become a member. The information you will gain, as well as the invaluable networking opportunities, could well prove to be a key to your success!! Becoming a member is as simple as filling out an application (posted on the Accounting Society website) and mailing it in with the nominal fee: That’s it! Come check out all the Accounting Society has to offer you.

Hello Students:
My name is Maureen Enem and I am a senior majoring in Accounting. I will be
serving for a second term as your Director of Membership this upcoming spring
semester. I would strongly encourage all to join the Accounting Society
(Accounting majors especially). As a member of the Accounting society I have
enhanced my interview and networking skills, and also learned the importance of
being an active college student. I’ve learned that employers are not only
looking for the academic scholar, but the well rounded, actively involved
student. They are looking for candidates that were actively involved in
different organizations while maintaining their GPA. This shows them your
ability to commit to various things at once. These are only a few of the many
great things I have learned from being a member and an officer of the Accounting
Society for two consecutive terms. Please feel free to stop by at one of our
meetings to check us out. This will give you an idea of some of what we have to
offer.
Director of Publicity:
